Born in San Francisco in 1960, Terry Carroll has been a photographer since 1974. Working as a "high-level amateur," all of Terry Carroll's photography has been self-assigned and self-produced, photographing the world around him as a sort of on-going visual autobiography and travelog. It is an outstanding and deep collection he has amassed. Shooting exclusively in black-and-white, his trademark style is breezy yet precise, with impeccable timing and composition, capturing mostly good-humored moments and tender situations.
