A young Japanese woman, exposed to the bombing of Hiroshima, meets a former American soldier who was exposed to four atomic bomb tests in Nevada. The pair work together to publicize the horrors of nuclear weapons. They are opposed by institutional interests in both Japan and the United States, as well as Japanese gangsters, a self-serving diplomat, and the unwillingness to understand the horror of such weapons. Along the way, we have car chases, kidnappings, and assaults. Through it all, is a tender love story
