Reformed Continuationism

There is a revival of Reformed Theology in the 21st century United States. The new movement is sometimes called the New Calvinism. They are characterized by their commitment to civil dialogue and being missional--seeking to create, engage, and redeem culture by always reforming (Semper Reformanda). Another trait that is very different from their predecessors is the fact the they are generally continuationist with regard to charismatic gifts as opposed to cessationism espoused by traditional Calvinists and Dispensationalists. Many have attempted to bridge the divide between traditional conservatives and charismatics through biblical scholarship. Following in their footsteps, this book attempts to bring together Word and Spirit, reformation and revival, and rationalism and mysticism.
