I had the privilege to serve as President a Synagogue in Rochester, Minnesota. As part of my duties, I had to write a column in the monthly newsletter that was mailed to congregants and friends of BIS. I used that opportunity to express my thoughts and reflections on current events of the Synagogue, Israel and the Jewish world in general. Lately, I came upon a copy of those reflections written about 15 years ago and, to my surprise, I found them relevant to the present. It seems that things change with time, but the core stays the same. In addition, I added some of my photography to increase the meaning of the words. The last pages give a short description of the images.
