Be ready for a life change!

Disillusioned with what the world or even the church calls Christianity? Want a real look at what a life lived with God should look like? This book is not for the faint of heart but only for those ready to challenge their faith and take it to the next level. With only 2-4 page chapters, written in an easy-to-read format, this book is meant to be "digested" slowly. If you read more than one chapter at a time, you've bitten off more than you can chew. Definitely a book you want on your shelves to revisit about every 5-10 years!

Something we all need to hear

This book is amazing. I don't want to sound sensationalist, but frankly there is no other way to describe it. I never even realized the true condition of Christianity (and non-Christians) on this planet. The version I have is from the 90's, but it's pretty much the same. One statistic he stated in there is that there are "3.8 billion people going to hell in this world," and then all I've ever thought of Christianity is going to Church and getting involved in a ministry. I suppose that it could have been arranged a little bit better, but that seems kind of incidental to me. He gets the point across exceedingly, and presents a life-changing message to every Christian. Plus, as of the time of this writing, a used copy is only $.50, so it's not like it's a big financial risk or anything! :)

Reflecting His Image

This is a powerful series of related essays, all focused upon taking up the Cross of Christ and reaching the lost. I enjoyed the book becasue it goes well past the superficial Christ-less-anity books that seem to be the standard fare for many. This is a call to holiness in action. If I were to change one thing about this book, I would turn it into a devotional. The messages tend to get all jumbled (at least for me) when read together. As a devotional, I think it will give the Holy Spirit more to work with over time. While I felt the Revolution in World Missions was better, I can ( & will) easily recommend this book to many others who are also looking for a deeper walk with our Lord.
