The storyline bridges the events of the Pre-independence era, Rhodesia, and the Post-independence era which is presently called Zimbabwe. It follows the ways of life of an average family residing in a village. As it occurs in many of the household's, post independence a family member or two relocated in search for greener pastures to the city of Harare. After settling they became the primary recruiters for the rest of the family line, especially the young individuals set to build their future for success in a competitive environment with vast of exposure and diverse opportunities. This sees the integration between the modern way of living and the primitive, with the later primarily being home. The chase of two livelihoods. This particular social way of living for many households brought a shift in beliefs of religion, tradition, culture and heritage.
