Oh no... This book does not show you how to make graphics or code your web pages; I don't think it's designed for that purpose. It does however teach you when, why and how to utilize different design tactics, layouts, typography, photos, colors and graphics to best present information on the web. I found Garcia's approach original. Although the author's main discussion here is about adjusting news print for the web, this book offers valuable insight and concepts for reader-oriented web design. Full color examples and real-life case studies add even more substance to the book. The general presentation of its contents is very readable and refreshing. I give it a pass and recommend it for web designers' library.
