Jason Statham stars as an ex-Special Forces officer who comes home from the Afghan war a shattered man. Broke, homeless, lost in a haze of drugs and booze, Joseph Smith attempts to piece his life back together with the help of Sister Christina, a nun helping the poor. But while employed as a collector for a local mob boss, Joseph learns the identity of a friend's murderer and, bent on revenge, finds himself sinking deeper into a dark world of violence in this brutally powerful action-thriller.
Standard gets revenge, but a little more personable.

Joey (Jason Statham), an ex-Special Forces officer who could not handle it anymore, goes homeless and drinks to dull the killing machine he was turned into. One day, his girlfriend is abducted and pressed into service.
He has the opportunity to become the man he was for the summer. With the help of a soup-kitchen nun, Cristina (Agata Buzek), who has issues of her own, he plans to track down and dispatch a bad guy.
The unique side of this movie is not the formula but the execution. We also have the fact that Joe and Cristina are not the driven snow type themselves.
