Synopsis Sci-fi/ fantasy adventure 101,103 words Cravixs, after destroying Claw Co., must return to Yggdrasil to heal his wounds. Charlie Belmond lays chase, hoping to slay the beast in his sleep. Charlie is killed on this hunt. Laus-deu-O, the eldest of the Gardeners of Eden, fishes Charlie from the Lake of the Dead and offers to let him have another chance to fight Cravixs. Charlie returns to earth to gather supplies and his friends to help him. He seeks out the aid of Lance Jacob and David Jazzmen. Joe Dove and the Watchers attempt to stop Charlie. They have other plans in place to fight Cravixs. Charlie has a new power at his beck and call-Charlie reaches across space and opens the gates of reality into another world. Millie Malaguard, a member of the Watchers, follows Charlie and his friends across space. The lot find their way to an interplanar courthouse, ruled over by a judge called Cilverant. Cilverant and his Steel Rose Council of Wizards are also aware of the demon Cravixs and how he is destroying the cosmos wherever he goes. Aware of the idea that they will need some form of ritual or magic to destroy Cravixs, Charlie searches for the advice of Hetatsubachi-Una and Jessica the Weaver. Hetatsubachi had been imprisoned on his home planet and forced to fight in a tournament of champions for his life. The host of the games is David Jazzmen's father. David steps up and fights alongside Hetatsubachi at Charlie's request. A curse has been laid on Jessica the Weaver by Cravixs. Jessica requests that Cilverant help her find a cure. Cilverant informs her that so long as she has her bloodstone around her neck the curse cannot spread. The Steel Rose is attacked. One of their own members has sided with Cravixs. Charlie does what he can to protect the Steel Rose but is forced to retreat. The members of the Steel Rose that Charlie can find offer to help him in his quest. Cravixs uses his power to mind control several of the wizards. The groups destroy each other. Charlie is slain again; this time by Jessica as she falls to Cravixs' curse. Cravixs follows Charlie into the land of the dead to see to it Laus-deu-O cannot revive him again. But Laus manages to wrestle Charlie away from Cravixs. Laus gives Charlie one last command before he must flee from Cravixs. "Charlie-go home." Time is reversed one more time; but those that had been involved in the fight with Cravixs are allowed to keep their memories.
