Loved by our 2-year old boy

I checked this book out of the library for my 2-year old son, who has a fascination for anything with wheels. He immediately took to it so much that I simply had to buy a copy for him after returning the library copy. The text is simple and lively, with several sound effects throughout, like SPLOOSH! and VROOOOM! Even better are the illustrations by Valeria Petrone, who I find to be a delightful children's illustrator. We've since checked out several other books drawn by her, but none have been quite as charming as Red Truck. Start up RED TRUCK!
