great for beginning readers

Too bad this one is out of print - if you can find it used, it would be a great find.I like it because it not only is phonetically easy reading, but it's about the life cycle and migration of salmon. A nice change from the beginning readers about nothing at all. The illustrations aren't in lots of colors - that's the only drawback to this story.My kids like this book, and it was my little sister's favorite book when she was a child. (Which was why my mom still had it, years after it was out of print.)
