Red Jacket Pops starts with a tragedy that leads Jason Mast back to his hometown to not only figure out what events led up to the tragedy, but also to once again be close to the love of his life, Sarah. There is a family secret that he doesn't even know exists that is the key to answering all his questions, and reframes his own identity. To understand who Jason is, Red Jacket Pops journeys into his past, and recounts those events in vivid detail.It is a story about confronting mistakes. Jason fears looking foolish. He tries to escape truth. But there is no way out. Until he learns to accept the truth of his being, there can be no peace. It is like trying to stop water from flowing with your hands. The water will always find a way, just as truth will. Each of the characters of Red Jacket Pops tries different methods to escape, but none is successful. Until they give up. Give in. Let go. And trust that everything is going to show up when it is supposed to. Let the liquid flow where it will, whether it is leaking gasoline, a spilled beer, or spilled blood.
