Potentially harmful, not helpful

The stories are the only interesting thing about the book, but it's hard to swallow knowing that she is divulging so much personal and traumatic information about her children. I heard that a majority of them asked her not to write about them, so it's unfortunate that she paints such a beautiful, albiet a deceptive, picture of motherhood that readers can only take at her word to be true. Aside from that, the grammar and editing is poor enough to be a distraction at times. Her advice and reflections mostly seem common sense or very typical of a floofy "Bible study" that has no meat to it. And I would be very hesitant to recommend this book to anyone in case they are in a similar situation and follow any of her un-cited and potentially flawed and risky advice. Her whole resource section was entirely left out, so please, anyone who thinks to recommend this book to other single or abused moms, do your own research first to make sure you aren't doing more harm.
