Red Foundations: A Hard Science Fiction Epic
In 2042, an asteroid strikes Mars and transforms it into a habitable world. Within months, humanity begins its greatest migration. Within a decade, the colonists who built their survival systems must confront an uncomfortable truth: the infrastructure that freed them from Earth has created a new dependency - on Mars City and the man who built it.
Red Foundations follows the first decade of Martian colonization through the eyes of those who governed it, engineered it, and now must decide whether to trust it. At the center stands Jack Masters - a man who perceives reality differently than anyone alive, who built four space elevators in eleven months, and who has never fully explained why.
When an alien artifact is discovered forty kilometers from the colony, the political tensions of the Mars Autonomy Accord suddenly carry a new weight. The systems that run the colony know something. The colonists don't know they're being watched. And the man who designed those systems may have been following a blueprint older than human civilization.
A hard science fiction epic grounded in geopolitics, infrastructure, and the reality that independence is never given - it must be built twice.
