WHAT REMAINS OF THE ANCIENT BOOK OF NOAKH?
The Dead Sea Scrolls preserve extraordinary fragments of one of the ancient world's most remarkable biblical traditions.
No complete ancient scroll known today survives under the title The Book of Noakh. Yet the manuscripts discovered at Qumran preserve Hebrew and Aramaic witnesses to an extensive tradition surrounding Noakh (Noah), his family, the corruption of the earth, and the coming Flood.
The Reconstructed Ancient Noakh Corpus brings these surviving textual witnesses together in a carefully organized, source-based reconstruction.
Explore the ancient accounts of:
The extraordinary birth of Noakh and Lamak's fear
Batanosh's testimony and Khanok's revelation
The corruption of the earth and the Napilym
The approaching Flood and the preservation of Noakh's family
The ark, sacrifice, covenant, and descendants
Ancient visions and the division of the earth
A RECONSTRUCTION GROUNDED IN MANUSCRIPT EVIDENCE
Unlike speculative reconstructions of lost biblical books, this volume does not invent missing passages or present later traditions as surviving manuscript text.
Damaged passages remain visibly incomplete. Reconstructed readings are identified. Recoverable Hebrew and Aramaic texts are presented alongside the Yada Yahuah Transliteration System and very literal English renderings.
Related passages from Barashit (Genesis), Khanok (Enoch), and Yobal (Jubilees) are presented separately, enabling readers to examine agreements, differences, and the boundaries of the surviving evidence.
FEATURING ANCIENT QUMRAN MANUSCRIPT WITNESSES
Including 1Q19, 1Q19bis, 1Q20, 4Q204, 4Q252-4Q254a, 4Q370, 4Q422, 4Q534-4Q536, and 6Q19.
For readers interested in the Dead Sea Scrolls, biblical archaeology, ancient Judaism, Second Temple literature, and the textual history of Scripture, this volume offers a direct encounter with the surviving evidence.
This is not a newly discovered Book of Noakh. It is a documented reconstruction of the ancient Noakh textual tradition-from the fragments that remain.
