Book Overview

America's altar is broken. It's time to rebuild it - stone by stone.

When the prophet Elijah stood alone against 850 prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel, he didn't start with a battle cry. He started by repairing a broken altar - twelve stones, one for each tribe of Israel - before he ever called down fire from heaven.

Apostle Greg Hood believes we're standing in that same moment.

In Rebuilding the Broken Altar, Hood unpacks the prophetic pattern of 1 Kings 18 stone by stone, tribe by tribe, revealing what must be restored in the Church - and in each of us - before God's fire falls again. This isn't a call to hide from chaos. It's a mandate to rebuild.

Inside, you'll discover:

The prophetic meaning behind each of the twelve tribes of Israel - Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph, and Benjamin - and what each "stone" restores to the altar of your lifeWhy compromise, passivity, and religious performance keep God's fire from falling - and how to clear the ground for itA biblical framework for personal and national awakening, rooted in covenant, identity, and authorityKingdom keys to move from surviving chaos to positioning your life, family, church, and nation for outpouring

Greg Hood writes the way he preaches - direct, unfiltered, and utterly convinced that God is not finished with his people. Whether you're a leader believing for revival in your city or a believer longing to hear "well done," this book will hand you the stones and show you where they belong.

"This book is as loaded with keen insight and Spirit-inspired revelation as any you will find... I learned a lot " - Dr. Dutch Sheets, Dutch Sheets Ministries, author of An Appeal to Heaven

"Greg gives us a clear vision of a restored church... You will be challenged and inspired " - J. Lee Grady, Author and Director, The Mordecai Project

"A masterpiece of hope for the future of the church, for America, and for nations crying out for a move of God." - Dr. Jane Hamon, Vision Church @ Christian International, author of Dreams and Visions

The stones are scattered. It's time to put them back in place.

Excellent. Relevant. Much needed for today!

This book was so relevant to what we need to do today to rebuild the broken altar in our life and it goes deep into the meaning of what the names of each of the twelve tribes of Israel means and how when their stone is in place, everything changes. It makes the Old Testament come alive. It was very touching and spoke to me so much. I cried at some point in most every chapter. It is a must read!
