The war between Antarctica and the United Provinces has reigned for six long years, and has been a constant in Jade's idealistic, patriotic world. Together with Calder, a comrade, she hatches a desperate plan for escape, which involves stealing potential vaccines and breaking into Antarctican prison, and certainly not survival.
