Better Than Dyson, Great Tupac X-Ray

A great x-ray of Tupac and a much better book than Michael Eric Dyson's foolish cashing-in on a dead rapper's tattooed body. A lot of stupid stuff has been written by the VIBE and Village/Stone people who just want to make money off 'Pac. REBEL makes you understand Tupac's confusion and the analysis of the rap lyrics are the best I've ever read about a rap star. (The chapter on "Dear Mama" should be included in every school literature class.) I recommend this book to anybody who loves 'Pac and loves hiphop. When Dyson's stupid book goes the way of the dodo, REBEL will still be read. It's the most serious and amazing Tupac book anyone could want.

2Pac THE REAL MAN BEHIND THE MUSIC EVERYBODY LOVED!!!

Ever since the first time I heard 2pac rapping with Digital Underground. I feel in love with the lyrics he put out from Brendas got a baby, to Got keep your head up! And so many more. No matter what people though of him as being the THUG N***** he was somebody real. When others never understood where 2pac was coming from he made music that everybody could groove to and understand. He's the one who put potery to its most. The day he passed a way felt like I had lost some one I knew and loved. I'am a true Tupac lover and only wish he was still here blessing everyone and even ME with his True words of wisdom. It's been almost six years since his death and no matter if he's dead or alive he'll continue to put out the music he so muched loved to do and the music everybody loved. This is a man that should've e still been here and listening to his new ablum makes me think if he is still alive and if you are may GOD be with you and you with him in your deepest glory. Bury me as a "G" RIP I LOVE YOU TUPAC. L-Boogie, OKC

Rebel for the hell of it ; the life of Tupac Shakur

I loved the book. I thought it gave a great perspective on the life of Tupac Shakur. I especially liked the time line in the back of the book. The quotes and lyrics from the songs gave a feeling for Tupac's personality. You could really get a good view of Tupac's struggles and triumphs. I loved the book and I love Tupac's music. In my opinion the book deserves 5 stars. The story of Tupacs life will never die! Instead of mourning his death, we should celebrate his life.

Everyone Loved ya TUPAC no matter what ya did

Armond White has written this book very carefully and has made it very interesting to read. I only bought the book on Thursday night and i am already on chapter 17. 2PAC was a great achievement to tha Hip-Hop community as much as any other rapper had ever been. In his short reign on top of the Hip-Hop world he spread his message about poverty across the world to his millions of listeners in every country. 2PAC shared great political views with the world and for doin' this some people despised him. This book tells of his upbringing in poverty in the late 1970's and about his family. This book also tells you about 2PAC's struggle in life, because of the many obstiquels that stood in his way. And for that i look up to him as the big brother i never had. You are alway's missed by me. I luv ya TUPAC

tupac shakur was a great loss to the rap fans every were

Rebel for the hell of it was a great book. Tupac Shakur was in my eyes the greatest rapper ever in the book it states that tupac told a'' Reverend Daughtry he wanted to be a revolutionary'' & indeed he was he spoke truth in his songs many people try & ignore the problems in todays society but it is or own ignorance that makes people criticiez people like 2pac who speak the truth we can not face .People speak of the gangsta' he was maybe so but do they know of his childhood he studied ballet & drama & like his mother Afeni & stepfather Mutulu Shakur two Blackpanther activist he wanted his life to have meaning which I think it did .Wether you love him or hate him he was a great rapper & no one can take that away wether he's dead or alive.Admiration to the strength of Afeni she let him go as stated in the book''every time they revived him he just went back. And I asked them to leave him alone & let him go.I really felt it was important for tupac, who foughtso hard for a free spirit.I thought it was important for his spirit to be allowed free. I rejoiced with him & the release of his spirit'' these are the words of Afeni. So I would say to any one read this book wether your a fan or not it might just change your mind about 2pac.
