When Rebecca Bond, an amiable elderly woman, suddenly finds herself widowed and penniless, she leaves for Austin, Texas, in search of the sons she abandoned as small children.

Rebecca returns to establish her innocence and to reunite with her two sons but further endangers her life as she faces a tragic encounter with the real criminals.
