The practice of rebaptism is part of the gospel and was restored in our dispensation by the prophet Joseph Smith. The instances of rebaptism I will be showing throughout this book, involve church members, recommitting themselves to the Lord by being baptized again.The Book of Mormon contains more instances of rebaptism than any other scriptural book, and Joseph Smith taught that we can draw nearer to God by abiding its precepts.
