Great Inspiration

I enjoyed this book immensely. Tasra speaks from a scrapbooking perspective as well as a Christian perspective. I loved her method of comparing scrapbooking techniques with real-life daily issues. I would recommend this book to all scrapbookers - both new and experienced.

For Non Scrapbook people too!

I don't scrapbook, I do write. I take pictures, I collect things, we travel, we do stuff. But I don't do the whole sit down and make beautiful pages and books. I would love to--but my 19 hour days preclude that. Well, this book made me see I need to make just a little more time and that I could make a little more time and that it was way way important to my family to make that little bit of time. I don't have to do the HUGE scrapook thing--I can make changes and bits of time to focus on my family and myself and create memories---and most importantly---some time and space for myself. This book is about putting everything in perspective. It's not just a book about scrapbooking. It's a book about life, about creativitiy, about being a woman in this day and age, and living your life. I've loaned it to students, to fellow teachers, to a few friends, and everyone has come away with something. (I even made my husband read some of it!!!) It's good.

Scrapbooking IS real life...

This is a really wonderful book!! If you need any justification as to why you scrap, this will certainly give it to you. Even if you don't, you will be amazed by the parallel's the author draws between the basic elements of this 'hobby' and the 'real issues' in everyday life - I sure was. It was enlightening and uplifting.
