HIV+ Teacher Causes Controversy In School

This is a good book about a boy named Kevin Delaney, who is having troubles at home since his mother left the family, and his relationship with his P.E. teacher, Mr. Logan. When the parents find out that Mr. Logan is HIV+ they want to get him fired from the school and Kevin is torn between his favorite teacher and being loyal to his hero-father who is leading the campaign to get Mr. Logan fired. This is a good book about prejudice and about realizing that no one is perfect and even heroes make mistakes
