I wanted to try painting watercolors and I came across this book. It was exactly what I needed to begin learning the basics. I found the recommended paint brand (Winsor & Newton) and colors to be a great place to start. The book is step by step and introduces you to the basic techniques in producing a watercolor painting. I found this an invaluable way to get started. I have several of the Ready to Paint in 30 Minutes books but I have found this one to be the best. Had I to start over again I think I would begin with this book. Excellent!
