now what about the Web?

The reporters and others who contributed to this book take us behind the scenes of American mass media. Showing how modern American journalism has its lively quirks. It also shows how subtexts might be hidden within an article, and how to possibly tease these out by inference. A very useful trait for the informed reader. The book was published in 1986. Now, with the advent of Web 2.0, and the proliferation of 24 hour news feeds, and the chance for many people via blogs to contribute news, an update of this book would be timely.
