Good for homeschooling

I am using the Spectrum books to homeschool my 1st and 4th graders. They seem to be working very well for us.

Bright and engaging!

My children have all used these Spectrum Reading workbooks as part of their reading curriculum, and they have all loved them. The pages are colorful and engaging, and the humor makes them want to read more than what is assigned. I have probably had a more enthusiastic response from these inexpensive workbooks than from all the other books we have used.

also for non native speakers

We use this material for homeschooling overseas. We are raising our children bilingually in a foreign environment. The clear structure, bright funny pictures and versatile questions all help to make learning English fun. Even someone with underdeveloped English skills can work with these workbooks, and proficient readers just go up the levels to suit their needs! Righly recommended!

AWESOME! Great for homeschoolers!

My child always wanted me to read to her. I could not get her to read by herself. Well, Mack the Cat changed that! Mack the Cat is a fun, mischievous cat that makes this workbook a wonderful learning delight. We haven't started the next storyline in the workbook yet, about an elf named Joy.My one problem with the book is we usually tear out one sheet at a time to do in a day. The book is setup where sometimes the next page relates to what was read on the previous page. I think it should be set up so the related questions should be on the back of the story that it's about. Just a suggestions.
