Highly Recommend as a supplement to your Regular book by book Bible. Accurate translation and a nice

This is a Holman Christian Standard version. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading through this Bible. I haven’t quite made it out of the Old Testament books yet. The translation is accurate, the wording is easily understood and I have enjoyed the way it has put some of the verses, as it has given a fresh perspective. That said, I have read it and checked the translation with ESV and KJV and at times NASB to be sure of accuracy. An example: Ps. 65:4a “Blessed is the one you choose and bring near, to dwell in your courts!” (ESV) Ps. 65:4a “How happy is the one You choose and bring near to live in Your courts” (HCSB- Holman Christian Standard) I have been able to understand the OT prophets more clearly as this Bible places the text amongst the text that were happening when the prophets were prophesying. It helps keep the reader aware of who is king and what events were happening at the time. It also helps you see the prophecy being fulfilled. As when Jeremiah predicts a kind being lead away into captivity unable to see his land, never to see it again. Then you read from the Kings/Chronicles about how the kings eyes were put out and he was lead off to Babylon. It has helped me see where prophecy has already been fulfilled and what is yet to come. I highly recommend this Bible as a supplement to your Bible arranged by books. Having both is helpful as it is hard to go look up a specific passage in this Bible since the books are not in order and even some of the books are divided up amongst themselves so you can get the flow of the timeline of Scripture.

Added a whole new level of understanding the bible!!

I have always had problems reading the bible from front to back because it was all out of the timeline of how it happened. I started reading this on one of my apps and I loved it so much I had to have the book. I love this bible!! Things are much easier for me to process and understand in a clear way that gives me so much clarity and has really helped me to really get into studying the Word.
