Great book for bilingual classes.

This is a wonderful resource for teachers who work with bilingual classes. All the stories are written in both Spanish and English so that you can have all your students working on the same skills no matter which their main language of instruction is. Stories include both fiction and nonfiction passages. Some of the topics covered in the selections are: Johnny Appleseed, Daedalus and Icarus, Crocodiles and Alligators, Bats, The Hare and the Tortoise, The Messiest Room in Town, Pecos Bill, and many more. This wonderful book contains 25 different stories, and each one is followed by a series of exercises to develop reading skills. Some exercises included are: open ended and multiple choice comprehension questions, drawing, cutting and pasting events for sequencing, compare and contrast, inferencing, vocabulary crosswords, matchups, and many more. This book is full of great ideas and is a must for every bilingual teacher. Great for third grade classes, but may as well be used for fourth graders or high-level second graders.
