A viable and sustainable system cannot be separated from the pursuit of quality, and therefore from judgement, and consequently from a quantification of that judgement.
In this book, we distinguish judgement from objective facts so that they do not interfere with one another.
Judgements encompass will, aspirations, morality, culture, and ultimately that towards which we objectively wish to steer society: human rights.
Their place is not at the bottom of the system-that is, in supply and demand-but at the top of the system, that is, in what emerges from the causal chains, duly controlled.
