Michelle Armstrong is a self-published author who has found comfort and healing through her passion for writing. Beginning at a young age, Michelle wrote a simple poem that got tucked away until she found her voice again. This voice comes from being raised by an "adopted" family as she refers to it, that took her in as their own. A dad that raised her as his own in the small town of Lone Jack, Missouri, only to then be ripped away by a biological father she never knew. Upon this new modification to her life, she and her mother and brother were uprooted to Arizona. Such a move would prove to be overshadowed by years of sexual and physical abuse, until Michelle sought justice to bring her biological dad to the forefront of his offenses against her. In her late teens and early twenties, Michelle gained the title of mother to two boys who have allowed her to find a renewed purpose in life. She has since then endured the minimal uneasiness of life as she worked through other past abuses, various levels of depression and a handful of rare disease diagnoses, along with unforeseeable changeups with her health. Through it all, she has remained steadfast in sharing her journey, her triumphs, and her struggles and seeks to inspire others to discover their own inner strength that can allow them to transcend adversities. She hopes this book, as raw and personal as it is, can be a roadmap of inspiration and encouragement to others. She is also eternally grateful to her boys who have stolen her heart, her husband who holds it and her circle of friends who nurture it, all who keep it beating.
