Raman Spectroscopy: Sixty Years On is a two-volume work published as Volume 17A and Volume 17B in the series Vibrational Spectra and Structure: A Series of Advances. These two books contain state-of-the-art review articles covering a very wide range of topics related to laser Raman spectroscopy - from pure theory to techniques and applications in various interdisciplinary fields. The reviews are grouped into eight themes. Volume 17A contains those on solid state applications, semiconductor superlattices, time-resolved Raman studies, resonance Raman and surface enhanced Raman scattering, and biological applications. Volume 17B contains those on stimulated and coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy, Raman sources and Raman lasers, and other applications and techniques. This work will serve as a reference for the rapidly increasing applications of Raman spectroscopy, not only in the fields of physics, chemistry, biology and medicine, but also in other atmospheric sciences, earth sciences, materials sciences and so on.
