Very helpful

A child counsellor recommended this book to me for help with my 10 yr old daughter. I found it much better than I'd expected. It was easy to read, easy to follow, using clear examples that were familiar and thus accessible, to do with managing friendships, school and schoolwork, and sports activities, all of which make up the entire world of my daughter. In the two weeks that I've read and applied the advice of this book, I've seen my daughter grow in confidence and healthy self-assurance. Its a must read for all parents.

Bravo! Great Book

Taking good risks - that's what Susan Davis and Nancy Elper Wolf persuasively educate parents about, without a hint of pop psychology. This book is the real deal. The authors cite serious studies, yet it's a breeze to read. They recite anecdotes that you can easily relate to. You feel like they're your best friends explaining step-by-step how you can help your kids rise to their potential by learning to take a leap - while incidentally emboldening parents, too. Raising Children Who Soar reaches great heights.

Highly recommend

Thank you, Dr. Susan Davis and Dr. Nancy Eppler-Wolff, for providing such invaluable, thoughtful, wise, practical guidance and techniques for dealing with common and significant issues relating to children of the world. I highly recommend this book to all parents.

Parents, don't miss this book!

While no child arrives with an instruction manual, this creative book comes pretty close. Nancy Eppler-Wolff and Susan Davis have combined clinical observation, scientific research and anecdotal composites to address the quandries parents face as they navigate the challenging path of child rearing. Their suggestions will prove invaluable to people raising young children, and useful even for interactions in the adult world. The writing style is accessible and clear--an enjoyable read.
