At the age of 18, I didn't know how to be a mother, nor did I know what it would take. What I knew was, I didn't want my child or children to be like any average person that I had seen. Being told that I, as a woman wouldn't be able to raise a male child, I was determined to prove all of the Naysayers wrong. I had to understand how to raise them, and it wasn't based on our sec but based on being individuals. Helping them in areas where they didn't know how I knew what they were dealing with or going through, we always made it through. A mother of five, entrepreneur, author, community activists, preacher, and speaker, my first love or my first ministry is my family. No matter how much I try to change the lives of others through my life experiences, I am only successful when the lives of those that came from me are changed first. Is it easy? No, but am or have I put the work in? Yes, and that's what keeps me pushing to be better and help others to become better.
