Any industry has to handle more input raw material from outside source or from their mines. Also they have to dispatch their product to market or to storage warehouse. For this they have to use either road transport or Rail transport. If the quantity is less and lead distance is short, then the economical transport is by truck in road. For high capacity plant road transport is not economical and it increase their logistic cost. Also nowadays environmental board is insisting to move all material by Wagon to avoid road pollution and reduce the liquid fuel usage. So establishing of internal railway siding is itself a big task in any new project. The track laying and spacing between rails in siding is differ from plant to plant due to their loading and unloading arrangement.
