Ragbag: Poetry and Anecdotes

A ragbag is a bag of scraps. The poetry is neither ragtag nor ragged, and is a cornucopia of many topics such as fire trucks, cabbage, Rubic Cubes, 10th grade Spanish Class, Nelson Mandela, Facebook, oppositional defiant disorder and self-landing rockets among others.James Geist is a graduate of Nyack College and the Alliance Theological Seminary. He served in the pastorate in NYC for five years, and as a history teacher in NYC and Newark over 16 years. He was voted Teacher of the Year in 2012 by peers, and his students gave him the nickname "Ron Burgandy" and "Mr. Incredible." He has also been involved in fighting sweatshops, child labor, modern day slavery and genocide in Sudan.James C. Geist has written a memoir, a book on the U.S. Presidents, and eight books of poetry and anecdotes. Some have referred to his writing style as Bukowski-esque.
