Time is never on your side, not with the fire department or stage four cancer. Steve Williams suddenly knew the meaning of time when he was diagnosed with stage four cancer. He also knew time was running out. What was Steve going to do with one year to live? Well, first, he would be like anyone else and get upset with all the time he wasn't going to have, but then he would make his last year, one to remember.

River Falls, Maine, was best known for being forgotten. Until Steven Williams had his last year that would always leave a footprint there, no one knew where it was on the map. Before cancer, he was known as the 'Old Fart' or 'Pops' on the fire department since he was one of the older members. Disrespect filled the community, and one big issue was his son, Christopher. He decided he would take the last year given and change the community and see if he could change his son.
