A great little book to add to the collection. The book includes some of Woody's most memorable quotes, as well as quotes from others.

The Ultimate Buckeye

I bought a copy for myself and for an Iowa Hawkeye co-worker. I was on campus from 1968 - 1972 and saw Coach Hayes around campus (I also observed him some on the practice field). I saw him some years later at the Pittsburg airport after he had been dismissed. I didn't know what to expect, but decided to approach him anyway. Ultimately, I was glad I did as I can look back to having met and spoken briefly with "the Coach." No matter what you may have heard about Coach Hayes, his record and observations as outlined in this book speak for themselves. He may have been from the "old school," but many of us attended that very same school. Ohio State University (1972)
