The sky was an azure bowl covering crystal clear water that gently rocked her like a cradle. The large, yellow orb of the sun warmed her and she relished how its heat seemed to penetrate to her bones. Her fingers trailed in the cool water beside her, and she brought them to her lips to taste its brine. She was debating whether or not she was too relaxed to jump in for a swim, when a soft chime interrupted her musings. "Lyla, there is an incoming call request," informed a pleasant, masculine voice. Lyla took one last look at her surroundings, taking a deep breath of the fresh, sea air. "Thank you, Quin," she responded. "Simulation off." At this command, the view around her faded and was replaced by the stark surroundings of the hub. Making breast stroke motions and using grab bars on the walls, she made her way out of the low gravitation chamber and then walked to communications. Once seated at the control panel, she pressed a selection of buttons.
