The Essential Quilting Book

This was one of the very first quilting books I bought, and I found it extremely helpful. Even now, several years later, I still consult it for advice on basic questions. In my opinion, every quilter should own at least one book by Diana McClun and Laura Nownes. In addition to a variety of delightful quilts (with clear detailed instructions about how to make them), it includes a sampler library with block instructions, a glossary of quilting terms, and (an unusual addition) explanations on drafting blocks. I recommend it highly.

Excellent book for quilters of all levels.

Wonderful book with good basic step by step instructions and lovely color pictures. I refer to this book again and again.
