Robert Steiner's Quill

I first read this book in 1973 and enjoyed it then as much as my recent read. It isn't an easy novel to read and certainly isn't for everyone. What Quill offers is masterful use of language and careful characterization of the mad protagonist. Steiner plays around with questions about the nature of reality itself, and he leaves his readers plenty to ponder.
