Quiet Whispers To God

From a broken family came a single teen mom whose daily life was a struggle, turmoil and uncertainty. Never knowing the Church, she started reaching out to God through words on paper. For over thirty years writing to God had become and remained her refuge. Melissa's poetry shares some of God's attributes in that her poems seem to have no beginning or end. They are never meant to reflect on yesterday or search tomorrow's mysteries, but to help us walk in the moment through her words. To this day, Melissa shares poetry with followers on her Facebook page, "I know He Lives" using her pen name, Hetty Bowers. Today, Melissa, with her husband and two boys, pastor a small church in Colusa County, CA, as missionaries through the Assembly Of God. Through obedience comes growth through growth comes understanding, and through understanding comes wisdom. Proceeds of this book will go to help the community she and her family serve to flourish in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
