After surviving wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, a pilot crash lands in the middle of a desert in the United States in....1878. Seth was a U.S. Marine Pilot, having served in Iraq and Afghanistan. After crashing a military helicopter and suffering a leg injury, Seth receives an honorable medical discharge from the Marines. In 2018 and in order to support his wife, Sarah, who is pregnant, Seth takes a simple job of flying a helicopter over a remote area in Nevada for a local investor, Bruce Carlson. Seth is tasked with taking photographs of the remote area, in order for Bruce to develop the area into a resort, intended to dwarf any of the existing Las Vegas resorts. Seth is excited about the assignment, as he is an avid history fan, especially events occurring in the Old West. As Seth is flying the small helicopter, he enters a fog, which causes his helicopter to begin spinning and then crashing to the ground. Limping away from the wreckage, Seth discovers a small cabin, located next to a silver mine. Seth believes that he has stumbled onto someone living off of the grid, but soon discovers that he has fallen into 1878 and in the middle of a land war, being waged by Bruce's great, great grandfather, Derrick Carlson. As Seth helps a widow, Cassandra, and her son, Timmy, defend their land and lives from Mister Carlson, he is unaware that his actions are impacting the life, he just left, in 2018.
