my first cookbook, and one i still sometimes turn to....

it's too bad this book is out of print - the recipes are varied, efficient, easy, and satisfying. i especially like the tagliarini with garlic sauce (p. 45) - a house favorite.this book is a good beginner's cookbook. each recipe offers simple menu suggestions, and the book is also laced with a number of helpful kitchen tips. my only quarrel is with the paucity of vegetarian recipes.
