If you think Cliff Notes are too long read this.

This book gives you what you are always looking for in cliff notes (short summaries so you don't have to read the book). However, unlike cliff notes these summaries are actually short about five pages as opposed to the 50 pages or more of most cliff notes. In addition, this guide gives you summaries of over twenty classic titles. It also gives you major characters, chapter by chapter summaries and outsanding literary devices all in one volume.

An excellent resource for students; better than Cliff Notes

This is a concise plot summary, which we have students read before reading the original. Having an idea of plot and characters before reading improves comprehension. The "why you're reading" and "what your teachers are looking for" are expecially helpful since teachers often fail to provide rationales for their asignments.
