Questions Jesus Asked: Teaching Guide and Lesson Plans

To say Jesus was a master teaching is a tremendous understatement. He demonstrated His mastery by using a variety of teaching methodologies to meet the situation and our needs. He also wanted us to think and reason using the gift of an active mind. In doing so, we learn the deeper meanings of His teachings. To do this, Jesus used a variety of questions throughout the gospels. It is estimated that He asked 307 questions. By contrast, Jesus was asked 183 questions. Of these, He only answered 3 directly. Sometimes He refused to answer the question. Someone said Jesus was not an answer man. He didn't come to simply give answers. He wanted us to think and internalize, and take ownership of our understanding. When we do, we grow spiritually. This series of lessons looks at 10 such questions asked by the Master. It looks at the context of the question and what we can learn as we walk with the Master.
