Pleasant read

I loved this book. I had it in my library for about 10 years before I read it (I read a lot of prophecy during that time). When I did read it, the teaching was enlightening and helpful. This man has not only a gift to teach, but to make his examples real. I thought it interesting he said in his bio, "As I serve Jesus Christ, my greatest joy is bringing ideas to life that change others' lives." That is what this book did, it made things real. There was also a lot of confirmation in this book. Things I knew but the author said them in different ways, and used different examples, which confirmed my faith. All in all I thought this was a wonderful book, and it is a shame more people have not had the opportunity to be effected by it. I also jumped around while I read it. Not reading the chapters in succession but finding the topics I preferred on a particular day. This book was truly a breath of fresh air!!! Thanks Doug.

Easy to read, makes you excited to read you Bible

I actually read the introduction and found out that each chapter is a stand - alone section and the author encourages you to jump around..So I did. This book is so real. The author is straight to the point. He gives examples that a person can relate to without too much dribble (fire and brimstone). The way the author write you don't feel like you are reading a history and text book for class you feel like he is having a conversation with you. Overall, I wanted to refer to my Bible and follow God's instrutions. I am ordering more copies of the book so I can give it away to all people -Christian and non-Christians. I believe it will encourage all.
