Ray is 11 years old, when she embarks on an adventure to save the pollinators. With the help of Zhabbo, an old Kung San friend of her father's, and the eventual support of her mother, Ray travels to Africa to fulfill her mission.

The journey is filled with challenges and revelations, as Ray must confront a web of deception and come to terms with the realities of the natural world and human impact on it.
