In Spring 1890, three eight-year-old girls leave Boston and set out on the Orphan Train, heading West to adoptive homes, vowing to be forever friends. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is an excellent story of one of three little girls who were adopted from the Orphan Train. Jane Peart ties the three stories of the girls together without letting the details of each girl out . She does an excellent job of building the characters. This title "Quest for Lasting Love" is an excellent title for the story. An unexpected twist at the end of the story, allows Toddy to find happiness.
A really great book!

I have read this book many times and each time I could not put it down. I like the way Jean Peart developes the characters. It is about Laurel who goes west on an Orphan Train, along the way she meets Kit and Toddy. She is adopted by a Doctor and soon begins a new life.
