Inherent in human nature, conflicts are caused by several causes and lead to numerous harmful consequences on the sociocultural, moral, economic, political, and environmental levels. They can be prevented by implementing techniques and strategies that can anticipate any situation likely to lead to conflict. Conflict management consists of implementing a progressive approach to addressing a conflict situation with the aim of resolving it over time. Conflict resolution is achieved through non-violent methods such as communication, mediation, conciliation, arbitration, and so on, as well as violent ones. It is based on a set of principles and techniques. In Chad, conflict management structures are both state- and community-based; they promote a culture of peace and peaceful coexistence at various levels.

Elle repose sur un ensemble de principes et techniques. Au Tchad, les structures de gestion des conflits sont tatiques et communautaires; elles promeuvent la culture de la paix et la cohabitation pacifique divers niveaux.
