Telepathic love

Twin brothers Shan-Lin and Vincent, the Queen's Warriors introduced in the first book of this series, Stephanie's Menage, decide on a dangerous path to save their country, the Queendom of Aranak. Queen Sara grows ever more sadistic, and her cruelties endanger the peace and safety of the Realm, as well as the very lives of many citizens. Sara refuses to submit to the law of the Queendom, and relinquish her throne to her successor, Stephanie, the wife of her twin sons. The Queen's Warriors tell Queen Sara that they are going to Earth to search for their destined soulmate. They travel to Earth through a Tear between worlds, however, with the purpose of consulting with the future Queen Stephanie, and her husbands Mitch and Kristain, on the best course to take to save the Queendom. Shari White, an Earthwoman, catches the eye of the twins. Much to her surprise, they whisk her back to Aranak, to pose as their wife. Neither she nor they realize that, in truth, she IS their destined mate. Nor do any of the three realize that Shari will risk her life as she is drawn into the dangerous struggle to save Aranak. As mentioned above, this is the second novel in a series about an alternate universe in which twins are born with the ability to communicate mentally, and in which it is customary for twins to marry the same woman (or man, if the twins are female). While I was a bit confused about the initial events in this novel--you REALLY need to read the first book in the series to truly understand what is going on--once I got into it and accepted the setting without the preliminaries, I really enjoyed it. The characters are interesting and well-drawn, and I became very concerned about what might happen to them. This is definitely an erotic novel--very hot--and is centered around the menage a trois of the central characters. The reader should also know that there are several scenes of violence and torture depicting Queen Sara's excesses. In spite of that, I thought this was an excellent book and a great read, and I went right out and bought the first one--and that's the highest praise I can give a book! -- Jean, Fallen Angel Reviews (courtesy of Fallen Angel Reviews)
