Queen of Sparta: Scarlet Widow

After the sacrifice of the 300 Spartans at Thermopylae, a face from the past returns and poses a threat to queen Gorgo's ability to unite Greece againt Persia. Aristagoras, a former tyrant, returns to Greece after years of self-imposed exile in order to seek vengeance. As a girl, Gorgo provided counsel to her father, king Cleomenes, who heeded her words and refused the bribes that Aristagoras offered in order for Sparta to join the rebellion against king Darius. Aristagoras believes that his rebellion could have succeeded, and that he could have enjoyed the same glory as Leonidas. Aristagoras wishes to take advantage of Gorgo's period of loss and mourning in order to weaken Greece's military resolve.
